Can AI-written articles work for SEO?
Yes. AI can help organize and draft content, but an article still needs to be accurate, useful and grounded in what your brand actually knows. Publishing large amounts of similar content cannot replace quality.
The real question has never been “How did you write this?” It is “What value does this provide?” Google cares about meeting users’ needs, not simply the method of production. If you use AI, understand where it adds value: organizing scattered information, making something easier to read, offering a distinctive perspective, or translating information across languages. Any of these can support useful content. Asking AI to produce arbitrary articles, on the other hand, often results in reassembled material from other websites—the kind of content-farm output I would consider close to spam.
Check these three things before publishing
- Verify the facts: prices, specifications, service scope and references all need checking.
- Add your own information: practical experience, actual processes, comparison criteria and situations customers face.
- Help the reader decide: can they tell whether this is right for them and what to do next?
For an article about renovation costs, AI can organize quotation categories. Someone who knows the work still needs to provide real construction limitations, material differences and pricing conditions.
Google’s guidance emphasizes accuracy, quality and relevance. It also notes that generating large amounts of content without added user value may violate spam policies. Use AI to save time organizing information while retaining verification and expert judgment.
